In Memory of Adelia Mae Dundas (2011-2021)

An energetic take on a familiar hymn sung for and by many children across the world, "Adelia!" captures the infectious enthusiasm of a fiery, boisterous little red-head girl juxtaposed with the feeling of a tender embrace from her loving Lord and Savior.

"Adelia!" is written with a small-school band program in mind but has the power to sound good with any sized group. Range-wise, this piece is playable at the end of most students' first year of study. Clarinets do not cross the break and brass ranges are less than an octave. Generous doubling in all parts. Optional parts for more advanced percussionists included.

A great closer for your young band with plenty of opportunities for deeper learning and a heartbreaking/heartwarming story behind it.
